POSITION PURPOSE
This position will primarily drive catering/off-premise sales in designated markets, develop sales leads for cafés, and work directly with catering specialists and café managers on building catering sales. Secondary roles for the Regional Sales Managers will be to support the Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (RVPs) on the market’s charitable and promotional events and supporting franchisees, both future and current, on building or revitalizing their catering program.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES
90% of work is building catering sales and developing off-premise sales opportunities in the market
Achieve budgeted sales targets for catering in the designated market.

  • Conduct quarterly meetings for Catering Specialist focusing on sales building, individual salesmanship of the Catering
  • Specialist, concept-wide catering initiatives, café catering performance, coaching and recognition.
  • Support the hiring & training process of every new Catering Specialists in the designated market.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction in catering as well as all guest recovery or service check issues in catering
  • Use, support, and coach others in Customer Retention Management, Catering Order Processing and/or Client Management systems (MonkeyMedia Software).
  • Prospect for leads in business areas of each café working with café management and Catering Specialists
  • Facilitate and/or develop relationships and generate accounts with major clients that will place orders for multiple or individual cafés.

10% of work is identifying, planning, coordinating and executing special events and donation requests as directed by RVPs for charitable or promotional events for la Madeleine

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to identify regional branding opportunities.
  • Support marketing and cafes on marketing within “the 4 walls” of the café (POP, Signage, and Promotional Events).
  • Supervising all large community-based partnerships, donations, and promotions (colleges, high schools, trade, sports, etc.)
  • Foster positive community relationships with civic leaders, local businesses, and schools.
  • Provide materials for local store marketing activities along with providing local store marketing guidance to café managers.

 

Qualifications
The most important quality a candidate must bring to this position is a passion to establish strong brand affinity and sales. Candidate must possess the ability to strategically identify the most beneficial consumer segments to target within a café demographic or regional trade area. Candidate must also demonstrate the skill needed to utilize the most effective methods to reach and connect with consumer segments.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years sales experience.
